Rosenborg v RB Leipzig

Both teams were defeated during their opening Group B matches, and both can’t afford another loss in this match. Norwegian champions Rosenborg and season 2-17-18 UEFA Europa League quarter-finalists RB Leipzig will go head to head with determined states of mind to make up for their matchday one losses against Celtic and Salzburg, respectively.

This match will be the first face-off between the two teams. Rosenborg has won only once during their 12 matches against German clubs, but never in Trondheim. They have a record of three draws and three losses, being overpowered in their three most recent matches. The Norwegian outfit has lost all their UEFA Europa League competitions against Bundesliga opposition Bayer Leverkusen. However, Rosenborg has a record of 25 Norwegian titles that earned the team a place in this season’s UEFA Champion’s League qualifying rounds, ending the last season in the third place. The Trondheim-based club remains unbeaten at home, scoring three goals in five of their last UEFA home games. They won only two of their nine UEFA Europa league group fixtures in Norway, yet, trailing behind by five.

RB Leipzig completed last season’s Bundesliga fixtures in the sixth place, being able to reach two European qualifications in a row. However, their campaign ended during the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals when they were dethroned by Marseille. Leipzig drew all three of their away matches in this season’s UEFA Europa League qualifying rounds. The team’s away record in the two previous seasons of European competition is W2 D4 L3.

Who do you think will come out victorious between these two teams? Tune in to the thrilling battle between Rosenborg and Leipzig on Thursday, October 4, at the Lerkendal Stadion in Trondheim, Norway, 17:55 (UTC/GMT).
