Elfsborg v Malmö – Boras Arena at 17:30
This could be a fun game. Both Elfsborg and Malmö are offensively balanced and prefers the attacking type of football. Elfsborg hasn’t impressed during the pre-season but they also have a new coach that needs time to settle. Malmö is in the final of the Swedish Cup and most of the experts put Malmö at the top of the table. Again.
New manager, but almost the same squad as last year. Jimmy Thelin is a young coach that impressed with a small budget during his years at J Södra. Stefan Ishizaki is back in the squad and will contribute with assists and leadership. Robert Gojani joined together with Thelin and will also play a big part in this team. Interesting team, but it will take some time for Elfsborg to find their way.
If you ask the experts, Malmö will win the league this season. They have shown during the pre-season that they are ready and they have replaced the player who has left in a good way. Ahead of this game, Malmö will be without Andreas Vindheim, but players like Bachirou and Binaku should be ready.
Malmö should be stronger than Elfsborg here. The squad is stronger, pre-season has been better, and the process looks more ready than at Elfsborg. With a new coach, I am pretty sure it will take some time before we see the potential of Elfsborg. Sure, they have some great individuals in the squad and could score here and maybe you could pick an Over 2.5 here, but in my opinion, Malmö -0.25 is the best bet here.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Malmö -0.25 at 1.830
