Manchester City v Liverpool
Taking a 3-0 lead to the Etihad from the first leg, Liverpool is a firm favorite to progress to the semi-finals.
The first leg was an incredibly surprising tie. I predicted a Liverpool win, but nobody could’ve predicted the manner in which they won. An early goal from Mo Salah (who else?) certainly boosted the confidence around Anfield after a strong City start, and Klopp’s side did not take their foot off the gas for the rest of the first half.
City grew in control in the second half, but Liverpool showed their improved defensive strength and held them at bay.
In the second-leg, I expect City to come out fighting. They’ll have a point to prove – and could be Premier League champions by Tuesday’s game. I think City will win the second leg, but Liverpool will get a goal and the Reds will progress to the knockout stages.

Roma v Barcelona
Taking a 4-1 lead into the second leg, Barcelona is a firm favorite to progress to the semi-finals of this year’s competition.
Two own goals helped Barcelona in the first leg, but also a first Champions League goal of the season was huge for Luis Suarez. With the Uruguayan finally finding his shooting boots at the right time, it gives Barca another edge in their quest for the trophy.
Roma will be disappointed that they conceded four goals, but an 80th minute Edin Dzeko strike was an important away goal for them. They need to score three and keep Barca out, which will be a tough ask on Tuesday.
