Fluminense v São Paulo
Fluminense FC will face São Paulo SP come Matchday 3 of Brazil Serie A in Rio de Janeiro. Fresh from their 1-0 inspiring victory over Cruzeiro (despite having just ten players for most of the match), Fluminense looks to be in high spirits. They’ve managed to overcome Gilberto’s straight red card in their last game and the four-time Serie A champions seems to be gaining its senses and has risen to the 12th of the standings. On the other end of the line, São Paulo has eked out a draw at Ceara in recent outing and is yet to fully impress despite clean record. Right back Auro is out on a loan to Toronto FC and they will have to make up for their impaled defense. Fluminense has netted at least one goal in their last two matches and top goal scorers Coelho and Santos will have to step it up if they want to come out unscathed from this one.
Asian Total Goals Betting Recommendation: Over 2.50 goals at 2.180
Atletico Miniero v Corinthians
Corinthians has yet to incur loss and is set to be on a collision with close rival Atletico Miniero. Tough duel, yes, but the Rooster is reported to have set a week dedicated for “special” preparations for the third round of the Brazilian playoffs in Independence. After their 2-1 win over Vitória, Thiago Larghi has expressed that the team will focus on every minute detail of Corinthians’ gameplay and that they have the total conditions to win. Corinthians has a prior commitment before the Miniero, with the last 16 of the Copa do Brasil. Exhaustion might come into account here, but it’s still too early to tell a hundred percent where the tides will be in favor.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Atletico Miniero -0.50 at 2.200
