Boca Juniors v Independiente del Valle – La Bombonera, Buenos Aires at 01:45
In the early hours of Friday morning we have the second Copa Libertedores semi final second leg as Boca Juniors host Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle. We should be in for a great game with an electric atmosphere as Boca look to overturn a 2-1 defeat in their opening game.
Boca will be extremely disappointed that they lost their opening leg as they went into the half time break a goal up after a tidy finish from Pablo Perez but goals from B.Cabezas (62) and J.Angulo (76) has left Boca with the task of overturning that opening leg defeat.
Boca are going off extremely short in this fixture and Asia currently have them priced at 1.25 to win in 90 minutes, considering Boca have all the pressure on them to get the win, you have to feel that they’re price isn’t a value bet.
I’m expecting Boca Juniors to control the tempo of the game from the offset and they’ll set up with a 4-3-3 formation as they aim to get the ball out wide so they can pile crosses into the box.
Independiente del Valle will take around 1000 fans to potentially the clubs biggest game in their history and you certainly feel that the fans will travel in more hope than in expectation, their fans will be stuck in the ground around two hours before and after the game due to the potential crowd troubles their could face in Argentina’s capital.
The away side will potentially play without a forward on Friday as they look to happily settle with a draw, there’s a possibility that Valle will play a 5-1-4-0 formation and they’ll have no interest in looking to score as they’ll look to play for the 0-0 from the first whistle.
It’s all up to Boca and if they can break down the away side, unders is a great value bet here in my opinion.
