Arsenal v Man City Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Monday 21st December by @SC457

Arsenal v Man City – Emirates Stadium at 20:00 live on Sky Sports 1

Arsenal and Manchester City go head to head this evening both looking to close the gap on league leaders Leicester. A win tonight for either side will put them in a great position and full of confidence heading into the busy Christmas period.

The Gunners haven’t lost at the Emirates since the opening day of the season and head in to the match as 2.40 favourites. They’ve been beaten just once in their last 10 Premier League matches and are in good shape despite being plagued with injuries.

The likes of Joel Campbell and Matthieu Flamini have been excellent filling in for the sidelined players but it’s unlikely both with start this evening. Alexis Sanchez should be available but it’s doubtful he will be in the starting line up.

Even without a full strength starting XI, this is a match that Arsenal will relish as they look to win their first title since 2004. They have a history of falling short against the top teams but morale will be high and they will have the belief than can take 3 points against a City side who have looked inconsistent this season.

Man City have won just 3 of their last 7 games, losing to Stoke in their last away match. You have to go back to the 12th December to find the Citizen’s last win on the road, an unconvincing 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Despite their less than dominant displays, they sit just 1 point behind Arsenal and can move 3 points behind Leicester with a win this evening.

With Sergio Aguero fit and David Silva back in the side, City will fancy there chances of a much needed away win and will look to exploit Arsenal’s poor record against top teams.

With Arsenal on form and City’s decent record against the Gunners, this should be a tight match. A draw would suit both teams and for me is the most likely result. The prices in the Asian Handicap betting market look about right to me so I’m turning to the Asian Line goals market for some value.

This fixture has an average of 2.56 goals but with a tight game expected with not much between the sides, the value lies in backing the Unders. Under 3 goals is priced at 1.85 and Under 2.75 at 2.13, with a low scoring draw expected these are both good value.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Under 3 goals at 1.85
