DALKURD v ÖSTERSUND
Both of teams lost in the first round of the league, but both of them also played pretty good football. Dalkurd maybe was a bit naïve against a stronger AIK and Östersund couldn’t really manage to turn the possession into goals against a strong Djurgården.
Dalkurd showed that they are ready for Allsvenskan in the first game. AIK away is a tough opponent but Dalkurd played good football, without creating any big chances. Now they play their first game at their “new”, provisional stadium. Dalkurd surely hopes that the new signing Buya Turay can play here since he will give them more options up front.
Dalkurd was the only disappointment in the first round. Sure, they played pretty well, but the creativity was all gone and players like Ghoddos and Sema were taken down to earth by Djurgårdens strong defense. Here we should see Islamovic on the bench and Hopcutt in the lineup.
Dalkurd will come out with a good confidence after a solid performance against AIK and Östersund will be hungry for revenge after the loss against Djurgården. The artificial grass will not be a problem for any of the teams, but the fact that this is a new home for Dalkurd makes this game interesting. This is a game that we should name as a game on a neutral pitch. I think we will see a focused and improved Östersund – that should also mean that they are at least one level better than Dalkurd.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Östersund -0.5 at 1.960
BROMMAPOJKARNA v HÄCKEN
What do we have here? One newcomer that should be fighting in the bottom of the league this season – Brommapojkarna. The other team, Häcken, has a strong squad all over the lines and a coach that really knows how to win games.
Brommapojkarna has been forced to change everything ahead of this season. The two coaches left, a lot of key players left and 13 new players have been signed by the new sporting director Daniel Majstorovic. In the first round, Brommapojkarna looked weak and maybe that’s a result of so many new players and a new coach…
Häcken won against Kalmar in the first round with 1-0 after a penalty goal from the homecoming hero El Kabir. The score could have been a bit more if Nasiru Mohammed was a bit more clinical in front of goal. Häcken looks solid on every position and should be top5 this season.
Brommapojkarna will most probably be at the bottom this season and with so many new names and a new coach, I think it will take some time for the newcomers to form the team and find the relations. Against a top-ranked Häcken, I think they will be in trouble again. Andreas Alm, Häcken’s coach, is experienced and I really do believe in a comfortable victory here for the guests who are used to playing on artificial grass.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Häcken -0.5 at 1.870
IFK GÖTEBORG v HAMMARBY
Both IFK Göteborg and Hammarby is in similar parts of their projects. They have an idea, they have a goal, but they are not really there yet. Both of the teams look interesting, but there are many new things that maybe will take some time to settle. In the first round, both grabbed a 3-1 victory.
IFK Göteborg got a perfect start; 3-1 in the tough away game against Trelleborg on a turf that was terrible. Important for IFK Göteborg that the attack with Omarsson and Hysén looked strong. Engvall is back in Göteborg but still doubtful if he starts here.
Nikola Djurdjic is available here and could go straight into the lineup here. Hammarby performed well in the first round and Hamad scored a hat-trick, but up front, Pa Dibba didn’t really impress.
I think this will be a fun game to watch between two teams that really want to grab the chance of getting a perfect start of the league. Both of the teams have a lot of good players in the attack, but what about the defense? It has looked a bit disorientated during the pre-season and both of the teams conceded against pretty weak teams in the first round.
