A weird week is about to end and the main subject in Allsvenskan has of course been the matchfixing scandal that cancelled the game between IFK Göteborg and AIK. This became a wake up call to Swedish football that until now has avoided of scandals like this. Anyway, the 10th round is coming up and we have some really interesting games.
SIRIUS – HAMMARBY
New comer Sirius has impressed a lot so far and lost round they managed to grab a point against Östersund away. A result that many teams in the league would be glad to take against Östersund away. Hammarby also grabbed a point last round, at home against former champions Malmö.
Sirius has some injuries in the squad but compared to last game, nothing has changed and coaches Lagerlöf/Bergstrand can put the same line up on the field. Last time Sirius played at home they faced Elfsborg, and won 4-1.
Hammarby is not one of the funniest teams to watch. So far, a lot has been about fighting spirit and a strong defense. That probably won’t change in this game. Johan Persson and Jiloan Hamad will probably miss this because of injuries – two key players.
Sirius is a better team than Hammarby – at least so far. The new comer has played better football and looks solid in both directions. Hammarby hasn’t been bad, but hasn’t really been that good either and without key players like Hamad and Persson I think they will be in trouble here.
Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Sirius -0.5 at 2.120
MALMÖ – IFK NORRKÖPING
Top game, for sure. Malmö is top of the table, but IFK Norrköping is second, only four points behind. Two years ago, this game was a final for IFK Norrköping and they managed to win after an ugly red card from Markus Rosenberg. This time, Malmö is the big favourite.
Malmö will Yotun back from suspension here, very important for the defense. Sure, Anton Tinnerholm is suspended here, but that is pretty easyily solved. In the attack, coach Pehrsson has a lot of options and the only thing that’s certain is that Rosenberg will play since he was rested against Hammarby.
IFK Norrköping is in great shape with six straight games without a loss. Wingers Bärkroth and Eliasson shows great shape and provides the strikers with a lot of chances. IFK Norrköping has got a lot of injuries, but starting line up looks strong.
Sure, this will be a fun game to watch and both of the team will probably go for the win. Even if IFK Norrköping of course will be pretty satisfied with a draw, I think the coach Jens Gustafsson really wants to put pressure on Malmö here. Anyway, I don’t think IFK Norrköping, or any other team, is good enough against this Malmö.

DJURGÅRDEN – AIK
The biggest derby of Scandinavia is about to take place and for the first time in many, many years Djurgården is the favorite here. The star signings this winter and the good start of the season is the reason.
Djurgården comes from a draw against J Södra away, but the question is how motivated they were since everybody knew that derby was up next. Squad situation is good with every starting player available.
Strange week for AIK with the game against IFK Göteborg cancelled. Now, starting goalie Oscar Linnér and wingback Daniel Sundgren will miss out the derby because of suspension and key striker Henok Goitom still injuried.
AIK hasn’t lost a derby against Djurgården for many years, but maybe now is the time? I am not that sure. Yes, my team in Sweden is AIK and Djurgården has some great players for sure. But still. I don’t think the difference between the times is that big and with some extra rest I think AIK will be ready here.
