It was a pretty good weekend for me with a lot of goals, as expected. Now it’s a midweek round and those are always tricky. But I think I’ve found some value on the Asian Handicap Market. Three picks from three different games and we start in the north.

Östersund v Hammarby

None of the teams has anything to play for, except from positions in the table and moral. But none of them is in the race to Europe or is at risk at the bottom. Östersund is one of the best new comers in modern time and the way they play at home has impressed a lot.

Last round, Östersund did put some excitement back in the league when they won against Malmö away – huge surprise. That should give Östersund a lot of confidence and as I said before, at home Östersund has been strong.

Hammarby lost 2-4 against Elfsborg at home last round, but for the record they had three players suspended. Now they’re back but the key defender David Boo-Wiklander is still a huge doubt.

Östersund really should be able to win here. Hammarby looks to to be done for the season after the important win in the derby. Sure, none of them have really got anything to play for. But with Östersunds record at home and the win last round against Malmö, I will go for the home side here.

Asian Handicap Recommendation: Östersund -0.5 at 1.95

GIF Sundsvall v IFK Göteborg

Home side took an important point in the derby against Gefle last round. That puts them seven points from the play off spot, which should be enough since we only have three games left. IFK Göteborg did a perfect defensive game against AIK and won 1-0.

GIF Sundsvall gets Noah Sonko-Sundberg back from suspension. Important for the defense. Otherwise I think GIF Sundsvall is pretty safe, and I think that they know it.

IFK Göteborg were strong against AIK and with those three points IFK has puts them in a good position to keep the important 4th place in the table. Starting eleven looks solid.

IFK Göteborg is a stronger team than GIF Sundsvall. No doubt about that. I also thinks that the motivation will be bigger than the guests, since they need to keep winning to grab that important 4th place in the table.

Asian Handicap Recommendation: IFK Göteborg – 0.5 at 1.88

Helsingborg v Djurgården

Seven points up for Helsingborg who only got one point against Örebro away. Now there is only one tactic that can save Helsingborg – attacking football. Seven points up to safety, three games left.

Helsingborg has the defensive midfielder Mårtensson suspended, and they probably will replace him with an offensive alternative like Bojanic. A draw won’t helt Helsingborg here… They need to win.

Djurgårdens coach Mark Dempsey did some experiments last round but that didn’t help. Instead they lost 0-2 at home against J Södra and the players probably just want to end the season and go on vacation.

I think the motivation will be a key factor here. Djurgården has absolutely nothing to play for, Helsingborg has a contract to save. Also, Djurgårdens form isn’t good and on the grass on Olympia I think Djurgården will have some trouble.

Asian Handicap Recommendation: Helsingborg +/-0 (DNB) at 1.87
