Allsvenskan Asian Handicap Previews – Sunday 17th July

Allsvenskan restarted last week after the break for the Euros. And there is an interesting period in the league. The transfer window is open and we have already seen some signings with Djurgården as the most active team so far. Round 14 starts this weekend and here are my three betting thoughts.

West coast derby when two teams in great shape get up against each other. Both of team scored four times in the last round, and the guests from Gothenburg also won 3-0 in the Europa League playoff this week.

Elfsborg has only one player injuried, Emir Bajrami and the team should be the same as last round when they turned the game around at Helsingborg away. 1-2 became 4-2 after a magnificent performance from Lundevall who made three assists.

IFK Göteborg won 4-1 against a weak GIF Sundsvall in the last round and in Poland the victory was safe with 3-0. This is a harder opponent but IFK Göteborg will surely go for the three points here.

Both teams has a lot of quality in the starting lineups and especially in the attack. None of the teams are happy with the first half of the seasons and both of them really want the win here. I think we will see an open game with goals at both directions.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Over 2.75 at 1.93

This is a classic game between two teams that has shown both weakness and strengths in the spring season. AIK changed head coach during the spring and Malmö started the season poor, but now have five win in a row.

Positive news for Malmö is that key defender Kari Arnason is back after the short vacation after the Euros. He will most probably be in the lineup. Malmö won against Örebro in the last round. That means that they have five win a row.

New coach Rikard Norling has started good in his return to AIK. Three win and two draw in Allsvenskan. There is a question about the form here. Weak performance against Kalmar last round and another poor performance against FC Europa in Europa League.

AIK are a good team, especially at home. Some of the key players rested in the Europa League this week and the lineup should be in good shape. Ahmed Yasin is also back from suspension. Malmö are in good shape with five straight victories. Away against AIK they do have a bad track record and I think the guests will be happy with a point here.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: AIK +0.25 at 1.85

This should be a fun game to watch. Two offensive teams that both are in need of the points after a heavy spring season. None of he teams has lost any key players.

Örebro were close to get a point at Malmö away last round but Malmö became to heavy at the end. Örebro has now made three signings, but none of them will probably start here.

Both Sudic and Abubakari are back from suspension here, positive news for Häcken. Also, new signing Rasmus Lindgren is available.  Comfortable win last round against Hammarby, but poor in the Europa League against Cork City.

Both of the teams will go out to win here, but in my opinion, Örebro should be the stronger team. If we just look at quality it is a tight race between these two teams, but Örebro got a longer rest since they don’t play in Europa and the home ground is alos an advantage.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: ÖREBRO -0.25 at 1.90
