Allsvenskan Asian Handicap Previews – Saturday 23rd July

Last round was a huge miss from my side. The biggest miss so far in the season with one loss, one half loss and one half win. I hope I learned my lesson for this round. A derby in Stockholm is the highlight of the round, but there are other games that also will give us tension to the round.

Top against bottom. Gefle are rock bottom, but they gained some hope last round by beating Kalmar at home. IFK Norrköping come into this match after a heavy loss in the Champions League playoff against Norwegian side Rosenborg.

IFK Norrköping lost in the Champions League, but it wasn’t a bad performance overall. And on the positive side, the talented midfielder Eric Smith made his debut after an injury. Good situation in the squad.

Sure, Gefle won last round, but still – this is the worst team in the league and here they also miss key defender Rauschenberg who is out with a suspension. Six points up to safety.

It is a big difference in quality between these two teams and IFK Norrköping should be highly motivated after the loss against Rosenborg. At home, Norrköping are offensive and they should be able to score some goals here.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: IFK Norrköping -1.5 at 2.00

This is a classic derby in the Swedish capital. Hammarby are still in the bottom and AIK aims to the top. Some bad performances from both of the teams in the last games makes this derby even more exciting.

Hammarby get their top scorer Alex back after suspension, but still, their last game was a disappointment and the coach Nanne Bergstrand is under pressure. Normally, Hammarby play pretty well in derby’s and this is a great chance to gain points and confidence, both for the team and the supporters.

AIK put in a decent performance against Malmö in the last round and were the closest team to take all three points. AIK hasn’t had the same chance to rest as Hammarby since the team played an away game in Gibraltar on Thursday. Daniel Sundgren, wingback is suspended here – otherwise it’s a good situation in the squad.

No doubt which team is the better one here. AIK are a team for the top that should be able to fight for the championship. Hammarby will be fighting for survival this year but in the derbys against AIK and Djurgården they normally play over their capacity. However, I don’t think AIK will loose here.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: AIK +/- 0 at 2.10

This game has a lot of potential since both of the teams are offensive and like to play on the artificial turf. The pressure is on Elfsborg since Östersund are new comer in the league.

Adam Lundqvist is suspended, otherwise they are in a pretty good situation in Elfsborg. Last round was pretty lucky when Elfsborg got one point against IFK Göteborg, and here the home team should be motivated.

Östersund aren’t a bad team, but they are way better at home.  Sure, they like the turf but there is a gap in quality between the teams.

Elfsborg have a pretty good advantage since they got their second home game in a row and Östersund has to travel this week again. I also think that Elfsborg will be very motivated after the lucky point last round.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Elfsborg -0.75 at 2.05
