Top three in the week of the 76ers’ Joel Embiid

A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF THE PROCESS

Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid has been hot in the headlines lately with his clashes with the other hot names in the NBA today such as Russell Westbrook and James Harden.

With the 76ers stunning win over Houston on Tuesday this week at Wells Fargo Center, the Phili center lately became one of the most talked about personalities in the league.

Westbrook-Embiid reheated rivalry

Probably one of the hottest rivalries between two players in the league today was the beef between Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook and Joel Embiid.

It all started back in December of 2017, when Embiid waved goodbye to the Thunder’s home crowd after Steven Adams graduated out of the game with a foul. Oklahoma went victorious anyway with Westbrook celebrating by mocking Embiid’s goodbye wave.

The beef went really personal later on with flexing correspondence between the two in print.

The rivalry between the two was reheated during Oklahoma City’s match with Philadelphia last Wednesday, when Embiid fouled Westbrook in 1:46 remaining within the fourth quarter.

Embiid blocking Harden

Houston has been successful in their games lately and one of the reasons why is because James Harden is hot with his incredible blast of statistics. It has been long since he ended the match with a a score below 30, which makes him one of the most powerful offensive players today.

Embiid blocking and frustrating a shot from Harden was one of the sights one would not be expecting to happen out of nowhere. It did happened during the first half of the 76ers’ match with the Rockets in Tuesday this week.

Embiid’s double-double

Embiid had chance to face Harden in the Sixers’ game with the Rockets and he did showed off to match the domination of the premier Houston player.

Embiid made 32 points and 14 rebounds to lead Philadelphia to a 121-93 win over the Rockets albeit Harden being consistent in above 30 score conclusion at 37 points. It was Embiid’s 39th double-double in the season.

Embiid made his 38th double-double in the season last week in the 76ers’ match with Minnesota. Embiid made 31 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Sixers to a 149-107 absolute domination over the Timberwolves at Wells Fargo.

Philadelphia also scored a 120-96 win over the Indiana Pacers last Friday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, where Embiid made 22 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists.

These dominations on the court from Embiid are all done while enduring a sore in the lower back.

The Process currently averages 27.1 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game. He is currently fourth in most points per game at 32 in the nightly leaders table of the league. He also has the most free throws made in the season at 14, and second most fantasy points at 64.8 after the 68.6 from Kyrie Irving.
