Superliga Asian Handicap Betting Preview – Sat29/Sun30 August by @ChrisOgle2

OB v Copenhagen & Sonderjyske v Viborg

This Sunday in Denmark sees two teams with very different profiles face off on the back of some indifferent displays. Last season’s runners up, Copenhagen, make the trip to Odense to face OB.

Copenhagen, without a league in three, possess a mountain of talent in their side by Danish standards. Probably unlucky not to get a little more when held to a goalless draw against last season’s champions Midjtylland, made a real mess of a decent opportunity to get back to winning ways hosting Aarhus last week. In a fiercely contested battle, the home side twice surrendered the lead with the final goal an overhead stunner from Morten Nordstrand.

OB on the other hand come into the game in a real mess. With only one point in their last four matches, they were ripped apart in the first half by a decent, but by no means exceptional Aalborg team last week. With 11 goals leaked in their last 4 matches, this represents a golden opportunity for Copenhagen to resume winning ways.

On the overall balance of profiles and with the way the games have been played out there are far more excuses to be made for Copenhagens disappointing run than OB’s and can easily be forgiven for not getting over the line in their last three fixtures.

The market predictably has Copenhagen solid favourites here at 1.9, however with the current run of frailty at the back for OB, plus injury concerns, it’s worth buying a bit more of the line and taking Copenhagen giving up 1 goal at 2.70.

Elsewhere in Denmark, the weekends other featured selection features the new boys of the Superliga, Viborg, head over to face the perennially inconsistent Sonderjyske.

Now don’t get me wrong, Sonderjyske have ability. Wins by 3-0 and 4-0 against this seasons likely whipping boys Esbjerg and Hobro shows that when it all clicks, they can get the job done. But as a rule, in three quarters of their games this season they have been dominated on possession and attempts.

Viborg are by no means a dominant force in the league but there are relatively solid and competitive in nearly all of their matches. Aside from the 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Brondby, Viborg have been unlucky not to get more out of their recent encounters. They dominated Hobro only to come away with a draw, and a great away win at Randers last week is a truer reflection of how decent Johnny Molby’s side have been performing.

With Sonderjyske installed as solid favourites, there is good value here in taking Viborg getting +0.25 of a goal to come away with a result.

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Viborg +0.25 at 2.15

Asian Handicap Betting Recommendation: Copenhagen -1.0 at 2.70.
